The Alien Side of Tesla
Of all the people I could possibly look to as a hero of fringe science, a person can do no better than to look no further than Nikola Tesla.
It seems the legend of Tesla grows more and more every year. There’s a very good reason for it; a lot of his inventions and theories reached into this century to be incarnated in the 19th Century.
Tesla was eccentric to be sure, all great geniuses are to varying degrees. I’m not going to list all his idiosyncrasies, they have all been listed on all sorts of biographies that permeate libraries brick / mortar and virtual. But there is one characteristic of Tesla that has withstood the test of time and has only risen to mythic levels.
And that is the legend of Tesla being partly alien, or in contact with aliens:
Tesla followed up that achievement by inventing radio. Though popularly credit for radio is given to Marconi, the Supreme Court declared some years after Tesla had died that Tesla’s patented radio devices had preceded Marconi’s and that Tesla is officially the father of radio. Tesla also created the first remote control device, which he demonstrated by directing a small battery-powered toy boat through various maneuvers on a lake as newspaper reporters looked on. He also designed a torpedo for use in warfare that was remotely controlled.
It was while working on a radio receiver designed to monitor thunderstorms that Tesla stumbled onto something quite extraordinary.
Tesla thought that possibly he had received a radio signal from outer space,” Swartz said, “that could conceivably be from extraterrestrials. Which is a pretty amazing concept for his time. People in that era speculated that there could be life on Mars, but nobody suggested it too seriously. Tesla was conducting experiments in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1899, with a pretty good-sized radio receiver, because he was fascinated by the way lightning played in thunderstorms. He was trying to come up with a way to harness the power from thunderstorms.
And one evening,” Swartz continued, “he received what he called ‘regular signals.’ You know, like beep, beep, beep. Not the usual static you hear from thunderstorms and lightning. He wondered at the time if he wasn’t listening to ‘one planet greeting another,’ as he put it. From that point on, it became somewhat of an obsession of his, to build better and better radio receivers to try to see if he could repeat what he heard. He got to the point where he claimed that he was actually receiving voice transmissions. He said it sounded just like people talking back and forth to each other. He made notes saying that he was actually hearing intelligent beings from another planet talking to each other, although he didn’t know what language they were speaking. But he still felt he understood them.”
An interesting point that should be made here is that at the time Tesla was hearing these alien voices through his primitive radio equipment, 1899, the country had just experienced the great Airship Wave of the late 1800s. No less a UFO expert than researcher and historian Dr. David Jacobs believes that is when true UFO contact first began, in the skies over America, when people familiar only with hot air balloons as real life flying devices began to see metal ships that flew over their homes and farmland, abducting the occasional cow and speaking to bewildered farmers in languages beyond their understanding. While one hesitates to abandon the more familiar Ancient Astronauts theory that says alien contact began with mankind’s birth in prehistoric times, Jacobs’ belief does tend to support what Tesla claims happened to him.
This also begs the question: Did aliens have some kind of part in leading Tesla to create what he did? It is argued in the controversial book “The Day After Roswell,” by the late Colonel Philip Corso and his collaborator Bill Birnes, that recovered alien technology was reverse engineered and used to lay the groundwork for numerous inventions, including fiber optics and much else in the way of technology we take for granted today. One sometimes wonders if the aliens more likely are implanting the seeds for, or even directly “inspiring,” through some process of implanted thoughts, some of the marvels of the current age.
In any case, there is likely some kind of overlap here between Tesla’s voice contact and the inventions that came later, though it is of course impossible to prove. Tesla felt the voices were slowly preparing mankind for conquest and domination. In “The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla,” Swartz goes on to recount the spine-tingling chronology of Tesla’s battle with these aliens he believed to be an enemy race, all set against a background of industrial espionage and governmental secrecy that would make for a crackerjack science fiction tale were it not for the fact that the events are alleged to be completely real.
I sure would like to get my hands on the alleged “Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla”, if only to gain what little insight I could into one of the greatest human minds that has ever existed.
I wouldn’t even have cared if I understood anything I read. Just to touch the pages would’ve been sufficient.

Ancient Indian UFOs and Other Sacred Texts
Being a fan of ancient astronaut theory, I couldn’t help but pick up on this:
A group of anthropologists working with hill tribes in a remote area of India have made a startling discovery: Intricate prehistoric cave paintings depicting aliens and UFO type craft.
The images were found in the Hoshangabad district of the state of Madhya Pradesh only 70 kilometers from the local administrative centre of Raisen. The caves are hidden deep within dense jungle.A clear image of what might be an alien or ET in a space suit can be seen in one cave painting along with a classical flying saucer shaped UFO that appears to be either beaming something down or beaming something up, in what might be an ancient UFO abduction scenario. A force-field or trail of some sort is seen at the rear of the UFO.
Also visible is another object that might depict a wormhole, explaining how aliens were able to reach Earth. This image may lead UFO enthusiasts to conclude that the images might have been drawn with the involvement of aliens themselves.
Local Archaeologist, Mr Wassim Khan, has personally seen the images. He claims that the objects and creatures seen in them are totally anomalous and out of character when compared to other, already discovered, examples of prehistoric cave art depicting ancient life in the area. As such he believes that they might suggest beings from other planets have been interacting with humans since prehistoric times: Adding weight to the ‘ancient astronaut theory’ which postulates that human civilization was established with the assistance of benevolent space-faring aliens.
The classic modern archetypes are depicted in this supposed ‘cave painting’; the UFO, the 1950s style robot and the ‘wormhole.’

To further travel along the trail of ancient astronauts and the possible connection they have with human lore, The Professor studies texts that describe in great detail stories of little people, gnomes, fairies and elves:

What they said was quite a lot of course; so much that I could never get it all across to you on this blog. I’ve picked three things which were going on regarding entity cases; each of which you may find interesting. The first regards “Hairy Dwarves”, probably no one’s favorite UFOnaut. Dick had a friend and investigations buddy named Don Neill. Neill and Hall were apparently already wondering about the true nature of certain “UFO” encounters. Neill was reading Bernard Heuvelmans’ On The Track Of Unknown Animals [what might be regarded as Cryptozoology’s foundational text], and focussed on the chapter entitled, “The Little Hairy Men”. Dick says to Isabel: “One incident describes an attack from behind on human beings reminiscent of the Venezuela affair.” Dick, surprisingly, seems here to be willing to entertain the hypothesis that some UFO cases may be more in the line of productions by long-term “folkloric” entities known by other names for ages. We don’t have Isabel’s return letter on this [believe me, I’m sorrier about that than you are]. But right at that moment, she was shaking her head about a set of cases which were coming to CSI that seemed to multiply the variety of entities beyond all sense. [And her big work on the Kelly “hobgoblins” was certainly in this mode]. We’ll look into a couple of these other cases later in this post.
Dick’s flirtation with the idea that the Hairy Dwarves may have owed something to folklore entities would have been easy to circumstantially defend. We have today turned the folkloric entity “Brownie” into a cute little fairy handful-sized and basically friendly. That concept owes to writers like Palmer Cox, who constantly wrote charming fiction about such lovable creatures. The folklore about these critters is somewhat different. They are described as smaller-than-humans but not much [perhaps four foot high] and of definite brown skin, and covered with thick hair–hairy dwarves, in fact. Their behavior might be tolerable, but it depends on which one you encounter and what mood it’s in. Brownies might ignore you or even do you some service; but it’s just as likely that you’re in for mischief. Because they are not of the “handsome” variety of folklore entities, they fall under the general class of the “Bogles”, sometimes said to be led by Puck, with all that entails about behavior. They might be nasty [like bogeymen or bugaboos] or just neutral but dangerous [like The Fenoderee]. It is at least a mind-stretcher to contemplate the [to me] extremely odd Venezuelan part of the 1954 wave in such terms. One wonders how much Dick and Isabel kept things like this in mind.
Other cases were stretching them in other directions. One was the Old Saybrook, CT case. This encounter occurred on December 16,1957 .the witness, a Yale graduate with two degrees, Mrs. Mary Starr, did not report the sighting immediately [she was living in a cottage on the Connecticut side of Long Island sound, the other cottages were unoccupied at that time of year, and she was concerned that there would be no other witnesses to back up her story]. Nevertheless, in September of 1958, she decided to report to NICAP. Dick Hall fielded the letter and talked to CSI about the event. Dick and Isabel arranged to meet Mrs. Starr at the cottage and take her story. This is what she said: “I was alone that night so I went to bed early, about ten o’clock. Sometime between two and three in the morning, I was awakened by a bright light in my room. I looked out the window and there was what I first thought was a crippled airplane in my back garden. But when I got my eyes really open, I saw it was a cigar-shaped object, brightly lit and with square portholes, hovering above my clothesline. I could see three men inside. An antenna poked up from what seemed to be the tail of this object. There was no sound. After about five minutes, it turned at a right angle and I could see that it was so shallow that the men could not have been more than three and a half or four feet tall. It glided out of my garden, rose almost vertically, and then disappeared.” [These were the quotes in the news story that the Air Force included in the Blue Book file, though it did not bother to investigate]. The rest of the story was published by Isabel in the CSI Newsletter of July 15, 1959. In it Mrs. Starr describes the occupants as having squarish head-gear [possibly robotic] colored orange-red and having an attached bright red bulb. There were no “hands”. When Mrs. Starr leaned forward to get as good a glimpse of the things as she could, the portholes “coincidentally” faded out, and the object began a sparkling brilliance. This led to the retraction of an antenna, and its sharp turn and departure. Dick and Isabel were VERY impressed with the quality of the witness, and CSI published the case with no apologies. NICAP didn’t. Dick wanted to mention it in his famousUFO Evidence, but as it was headed to Congress, only the craft was mentioned without the occupants. Later, NICAP got over some of its hang-ups and published the details in Lore/Keyhoe’s UFOs: A New Look.

In my view, this ties in ancient legends to the ‘nuts and bolts’ theory of UFOs.

British UFO Comments
England’s Ministry of Defense last year adopted a policy of releasing old UFO reports, complete or not.
Recently they released some reports that supposedly had “rude comments” removed:
The previously secret documents were vetted for insulting remarks, as well as references to military technology.
UFO claimants mocked
This latest memo, dated 2007, details how reports from the public should be dealt with.
It concludes: ‘The MoD is aware of no clear evidence to prove or disprove the existence of aliens, and consequently the files are considerably less exciting than the ‘‘industry’’ surrounding the UFO phenomena would like to believe.’
That’s nice of them to censor for rude comments. Politeness matters!

Hmm..triangular UFOs have taken the place of the traditional shaped Saucers?
I don’t know about that. But according to the aforementioned released British MoD UFO files, this seems to be the case:
[…]It is one of the most memorable opening sequences on film: A small craft is being pursued through outer space by a massive triangular vessel, which passes over viewers’ heads with a roar that made audiences at screenings of “Star Wars,” in 1977, feel something like dolphins submerged under a passing aircraft carrier. So powerful was the image that it may have haunted some viewers’ dreams — or waking visions.
We were reminded of this scene on Thursday when the British government released its fifth and largest collection of files about unidentified flying objects, which officials in Britain continued to monitor for years after the United States government stopped in 1969 (or claimed to have stopped — some conspiracy theorists think there are still men in black keeping tabs on little green men). It’s fascinating stuff for lovers of the unexplained, loaded with stories of eerie lights in the sky, descriptions of vessels that defy the laws of physics, and warnings of alien viruses. One of the more compelling reports comes from a man in South Wales, who in January 1997 claimed that his car was enveloped by a beam of light while he was driving home at night. He emerged from the car to total silence, and began to feel ill. When the beam passed, his car was filthy and he developed a skin condition that required treatment.
Maybe it’s coincidental that the TV series “The X-Files,” which prominently featured alien abductions and viruses from outer space, was then a top-rated show on BBC2. Indeed, the British records, which detail sightings from 1994 to 2000, show that perceptions about UFOs might owe more to Hollywood than previously thought.
David Clarke, author of a book on the British UFO records, notes that the shapes of these objects have changed over time. In the 1940s and 1950s, UFOs were usually described by those who saw them as “flying saucers” — round or disk-shaped objects. At the time, movies such as “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (1951) and “Forbidden Planet” (1956) reinforced the idea that futuristic spacecraft would look like Frisbees. Modern sightings, by contrast, involve different shapes, particularly triangles. Which is where that “Star Wars” sequence, and countless other Hollywood depictions of spaceships in all shapes and sizes, come in.
It’s worth noting that the most futuristic-looking of military aircraft, the Stealth bomber, is shaped like a triangle, so these perceptions aren’t necessarily or solely coming from Hollywood. But it does seem that when we see unusual and unexplainable lights in the sky, our brains leap to interpret them by forming familiar images of the sort we’ve been conditioned by science-fiction flicks to expect. That doesn’t mean people who see such things are crazy or that they’re hoaxers, only that they’re human.
The triangular UFO memes have been strong lately, and not just in England.
This is a ‘chicken and the egg’ conundrum, do we feed the image or does it feed us?

Uranus Anomaly
In the world of planetary studies, none have been more weird than the Outer Solar System planets; Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Of these, Uranus, has an internal temperature colder than its’ further brother, Neptune.
Why is that?
Well, maybe the Electric Universe Theory has a possible explanation:
Uranus is the coldest planet in the Solar System at -224° Celsius. The refrigerated dwarf Pluto is colder, but by consensus it has been relegated to the planetesimal category and no longer qualifies as a fully fledged planet.
No one knows why Uranus is so cold—colder than its more remote neighbor Neptune at -214° Celsius. Neptune lies at a mean distance from the Sun of 4,504,300,000 kilometers and Uranus at 2,870,990,000 kilometers, so it receives four times less solar radiation. However, astronomers think that the low temperature anomaly on Uranus could be due to its rotational vector.
Uranus is tipped on its side by 97° past vertical, prompting scientists to speculate that the gas giant was involved in a massive collision sometime in its early history. It is also thought that colliding with that other large object might have released much of its heat, although the precise mechanism for how a collision can cool down a planet remains a mystery.
Uranus does not radiate a great deal of energy in the infrared wavelengths, so its interior is much colder than that of Jupiter, for instance. Based on observations by the Keck telescope, Jupiter’s infrared signature corresponds to an internal temperature of approximately 29727° Celsius, whereas the internal temperature of Uranus is about 4727° Celsius. If the Sun were to disappear tomorrow, Jupiter would still be visible as a faint, reddish glow, but Uranus would be almost invisible against the black background of space.
Like its other gas giant siblings, Uranus has a complex system of rings in orbit with a bevy of satellites. Currently, there are 27 known moons circling the planet, ranging in size from Miranda (470 kilometers in diameter) to Titania (1578 kilometers in diameter). The most unusual thing about the rings and moons is their placement.
Uranus is revolving around the Sun while lying on its side, and its moons and rings are also orbiting along with it in the same orientation. Instead of circling the planet near the plane of the ecliptic, they are inclined from the vertical by 97°, perpendicular to the rest of the Solar System. However, there are several small moons that orbit in the “correct” angle of inclination, crossing from axial pole to axial pole, as well as moving in a retrograde fashion. Why this is so is not known, although it has been suggested that these moons were “captured” by Uranus and did not evolve with it out of a hypothetical nebular cloud.
The rings of Uranus are similar to those around Saturn and Jupiter. Neptune possesses a system of rings as well, but they are thin and only partial, appearing more like ring segments or arcs than a complete set of bracelets. There are at least 13 rings around Uranus, with the potential for more as the refurbished Hubble Space Telescope turns its new eyes on the planet.
The magnetic field generated by Uranus is probably the most unusual aspect of a planet whose structure is dominated by eccentricities. Unlike Saturn, whose magnetic poles are aligned almost exactly with its axial poles, or Jupiter, whose field is offset from vertical by a mere 10°, the magnetic poles of Uranus are offset at a slant from its rotational axis by 60°. Neptune exhibits a similar field offset, with the majority of the field strength concentrated in one hemisphere—like Uranus.
Why Jupiter and Saturn have intense magnetic fields, while Uranus and Neptune have weak fields is not understood by conventional astronomers or by Electric Universe theorists. In the Electric Universe model, however, there is no dependence on internal composition, such as an iron core acting as a dynamo, or a compressed core of metallic hydrogen creating the field through rapid rotation. What is most likely occurring is that the rapid rotation of charged particles in the plasma making up the giant planets is creating a powerful surge of electromagnetic energy. It is common knowledge that a rotating electric current will produce a magnetic field.
All four gas giant planets spin at enormous velocities for their sizes. Uranus is 51120 kilometers in diameter, yet it completes one rotation in just under 18 hours. Recently, a current sheet was found connecting Uranus with its moon Miranda, feeding current into the auroral field, proving that there is an electric circuit within the Uranian system. In fact, the magnetosphere of Uranus extends out beyond its farthest moon and is wide enough to encompass its entire ring system.
It is to be hoped that outlining the problems and anomalies associated with one of the coldest of the cold places in existence will motivate more interest and more investigation. We have made little attempt to explain what is found on Uranus because explanations have yet to be forthcoming—electrical conditions usually require in situ measurements. So far, only one space probe has visited Uranus, and the Earth-based telescopes on the ground and in orbit have just recently been upgraded to the point where sharper images can be synthesized. We can only wait for more data.
I find the Electric Universe Theory very compelling in explaining certain anomalies that elude the standard model explanations, which usually include adding such nebulous things as dark energy/matter.
Theories in my view that are just as plausible as the ‘aether’ was in the 19th Century.
The Threshold of Space
In 1956, the US Air Force was still the primary mover behind the American space program. Various tests were conducted that included ejecting from fast moving jets at 520 m.p.h., speeding down water tracks on rocket sleds at 1000 m.p.h. and going up in pressurized bathysphere type gondolas via balloon to reach altitudes of 100,000 feet or more.
And then either jumping out or riding down in the free-falling gondola to see if the parachute system works.
These were brave men by any stretch of the imagination, yet they hardly receive any mention in the annals of spaceflight lore, forgotten by the public and hidden in the back-waters of the bureaucracy in government and NASA.
Below is a link (click the photo) to a movie that was made in 1956, two years before NASA was formed. The protagonist is an Air Force flight surgeon who is also a test pilot who fearlessly experiments on his body to further human spaceflight research. From what I observed, the character is based on real-life people who set records in balloon altitude parachute drops and rocket sled g-force tests.

Nuclear Obama
It has been over thirty years since the Three Mile Island nuclear ‘accident’ at the power plant spelled the death-knell of the nuclear industry in the US.
Say the word ‘nuclear’, and you would be compared to the worst murderers and mass executioners in history by the environMENTAL folks and God forbid that outerspace probes to the Outer Solar System by powered by small plutonium heaters!
The nerve!
Well, guess what. The Obamanator of all people is authorizing funding for the construction of two modern nuclear power plants in the state of Georgia.
President Barack Obama has announced more than $8bn […] of federal loan guarantees to begin building the first US nuclear power stations for 30 years.
Two new plants are to be constructed in the state of Georgia by US electricity firm Southern Company.
Mr Obama said the plants would be “safe and clean” and were needed to meet the country’s future energy needs.
There have been no new nuclear power plants started in the US since the 1979 accident at Three Mile Island.
The accident was caused by the partial core meltdown of one of the reactors at the site in Pennsylvania, which resulted in a release of radioactive gases into the atmosphere.
While the president said the US had not “broken ground on a … new nuclear power plant in 30 years”, some US nuclear plants only became operational in the 1980s, despite construction beginning years earlier.

The president said the project would create “thousands of construction jobs over eight years and then hundreds of well-paid jobs” when the facilities become operational.
He added that it was “only the beginning” of efforts to develop a new generation of safe and clean energy-efficient technologies, which would help fight climate change.
The two new reactors will be built at an existing nuclear facility in Georgia.
Southern Company said the work would create about 3,000 construction jobs and 850 people would subsequently be permanently employed when the reactors became operational.

“On an issue which affects our economy, our security, and the future of our planet, we cannot continue to be mired in the same old debates between left and right, between environmentalists and entrepreneurs,” said President Obama.
“To meet our growing energy needs and prevent the worst consequences of climate change, we’ll need to increase our supply of nuclear power. It’s that simple.”
Southern’s chief executive David Ratcliffe said the president’s announcement was “an important endorsement in the role nuclear power must play in diversifying our nation’s energy mix and helping to curb greenhouse gas emissions”.
There are currently 104 operating nuclear reactors across 31 states in the US, which provide about one-fifth of the country’s electricity.
Meanwhile, there are currently 56 new nuclear reactors being built around the world.
Here is a bit of trivia for you students of synchronicity; The US President most people compare Mr. Obama with (‘not’ FDR!) is Jimmy Carter (yes, still kicking at age 85!), who is from Georgia. Carter was President in 1979 when the Three Mile Island nuclear accident happened and when Carter was in the Navy during the 1950s, he was a nuclear power plant engineer in the fledgling nuclear sub fleet.

A Walk In the Park
Sometimes UFO skeptics get their comeuppance.
As in this following story of a retired engineer in England who was just walking his dog in the park:

Reports originating from Exmouth, Devon are pronouncing that a spacecraft landed in a local park (Phear Park) and an entity (alien) exited the craft and approached the witness, one Roy Shaw, a retired engineer.
Shaw 58, a self-proclaimed skeptic of all things esoteric, was walking his dog, Sydney in the evening around 10:00 pm when he noticed “blue and red lights flashing”; upon further investigation he stated:
“The object was round in shape and about 30-feet in diameter and 100-foot long, with blue and red flashing lights on its perimeter, and it appeared to land at the top end of the park by the bowling green.”
Had the story ended there, it would be enough for UFO mavens and enthusiasts alike to chat up the internet for weeks; however, there’s more . . . Shaw continued:
“My dog started to growl when, what I can only describe as a white shape, came towards us. It was about four-feet high and seemed to be translucent, and moved very slowly towards us. I was transfixed because it made a droning noise, which sounded like ‘my-my,’ over and over again, which I could not understand. I didn’t know where the sound was coming from but it was coming straight towards me. I immediately ran back down through the park.”
Shortly thereafter, the craft shot off at a 45°angle. In his retreat from the entity and craft, Shaw twisted his ankle. At home Shaw said he was unnerved by the incident, and his border collie was affected as well. The normally good-natured collie not only bared his teeth during the encounter, but “was whimpering when we arrived home; he doesn’t like going back there now,” Shaw said.

It is interesting to note that the ‘alien’ was shapeless and formless and making a ‘droning noise.’
One could theorize that the alien visitors need to be linked somehow with contactees mentally in order to appear ‘humanoid?’
This would give some credence to the theory that the ‘greys’ might be some kind of biological robot, humanoid in appearance only because that is the way we ‘wish’ to see possible aliens.

Earth Engineering / Can’t See the Forest for the Trees…
It is said that in the year 2050, the human population of Earth will reach 9 billion souls and then level out.
It is also said by the human haters that amount of people will start killing Mother Gaia and it would be better for mankind to participate in a massive die-off.
Well, I’m sure that there is a possibility of a Malthusian Event, but not right away.
The main reason I’m saying this is because of far-seeing folks who are trying to prevent such things with a little geo-engineering:
Science Magazine has removed the pay wall from “Food Security: The Challenge of Feeding 9 Billion People.” The paper concludes, as many have before, that keeping up with humanity’s needs as numbers and appetites crest toward mid-century poses big challenges. But it expresses optimism that a sustained focus on efficiency, technology and policy innovations can do the trick. (The images above, from the paper, show how investments in water storage and other measures helped restore vegetation in a dry region in Niger.) Here’s the summary:
Continuing population and consumption growth will mean that the global demand for food will increase for at least another 40 years. Growing competition for land, water, and energy, in addition to the overexploitation of fisheries, will affect our ability to produce food, as will the urgent requirement to reduce the impact of the food system on the environment. The effects of climate change are a further threat. But the world can produce more food and can ensure that it is used more efficiently and equitably. A multifaceted and linked global strategy is needed to ensure sustainable and equitable food security, different components of which are explored here.
The authors include a menu of possible uses for genetically modified crops, but stress that technology alone is far from sufficient if policies are not shifted to advance the appropriate use of the right agricultural strategy or tool in the right place. Over all, a focus on “sustainable intensification” of production of crops and livestock will be vital to limiting impacts on remaining undeveloped ecosystems.
Aquaculture holds great promise, if practiced appropriately and efficiently, as does livestock production, the authors say, noting the reality that meat will long remain a part of most diets, particularly in populations moving out of poverty.
In the end, they say, one reality has to be a shift from simply boosting production to a new, interdisciplinary focus on getting the most food value with the least loss of land and other resources. The kicker?
[W]e must avoid the temptation to further sacrifice Earth’s already hugely depleted biodiversity for easy gains in food production, not only because biodiversity provides many of the public goods on which mankind relies but also because we do not have the right to deprive future generations of its economic and cultural benefits. Together, these challenges amount to a perfect storm.
Navigating the storm will require a revolution in the social and natural sciences concerned with food production, as well as a breaking down of barriers between fields. The goal is no longer simply to maximize productivity, but to optimize across a far more complex landscape of production, environmental, and social justice outcomes.

The search for life on the planet Mars has been ongoing for about 130 years and samples of such have been lacking.
Now with the many satellites that are orbiting and photographing the Martian surface 24 / 7, evidence seems to be coming, but as the lid on such truths are maintained by NASA (for what ever reasons), speculation as usual runs wild.
Below however are some photos taken by the Mars Express probe around the year 2000 showing interpretive evidence of water in craters and forests around them.
Interpret them for yourselves.

I don’t know. NASA always claims that if they had evidence of ET life of any kind, they would be the first to proclaim it from the roof-tops.
They can’t prove it by me.

SpaceX is slated to launch their Falcon 9 rocket along with the Dragon capsule demonstrator on March 8 of this year.
All of the components are at Cape Canaveral being assembled as of now and tests might be run this week, but more likely next week.
As you see, the Falcon 9 is stacked together like the Soyuz rockets are:
Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) announces that all flight hardware for the debut launch of the Falcon 9 vehicle has arrived at the SpaceX launch site, Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40), in Cape Canaveral, Florida.Final delivery included the Falcon 9 second stage, which recently completed testing at SpaceX’s test facility in McGregor, Texas. SpaceX has now initiated full vehicle integration of the 47 meter (154 feet) tall, 3.6 meter (12 feet) diameter rocket, which will include a Dragon spacecraft qualification unit.
“We expect to launch in one to three months after completing full vehicle integration,” said Brian Mosdell, Director of Florida Launch Operations for SpaceX. “Our primary objective is a successful first launch and we are taking whatever time necessary to work through the data to our satisfaction before moving forward.”
Following full vehicle integration, SpaceX will conduct a static firing to demonstrate flight readiness and confirm operation of ground control systems in preparation for actual launch.
Though designed from the beginning to transport crew, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch vehicle and Dragon spacecraft will initially be used to transport cargo. Falcon 9 and Dragon were selected by NASA to resupply the International Space Station (ISS) once Shuttle retires. The $1.6B contract represents 12 flights for a minimum of 20 tons to and from the ISS with the first demonstration flights beginning in 2010.

Ancient Alien Moon Base Mystery
Nothing excites me more than a good ancient alien mystery and the meme was my first introduction into the esoteric.
Ever since the release (leaking) of the Brookings Report in 1967 and the brief Moon landings of 1969 to 1972, rumors have run rampant about the Moon astronauts running afoul of aliens, their spaceships and ancient moon bases.
Recently the viral YouTube videos of the planetary-sized metal spheres around the Sun have put out the meme that powerful aliens are here in our Solar System and there’s nothing we have that can handle the situation and that we might as well except that we are a subservient species in our own ‘home.’
Here in this video below that was supposedly recorded from the Apollo 10 fly-by in early 1969 showing artificial ‘structures’ on the Moon.
