Via the Mysterious Universe:
In The Book of the Damned, Charles Fort opined, “I think we’re property. I should say we belong to something.” Reasonable people disagree about who owns us: an alien race of reptilians or the even more alien breed known as the Illuminati.
Either way, science has recently confirmed that there is in fact a small group of, well, let’s call them overlords, who own pretty much everything in the world.
In a paper described by LiveScience as “.. the first clear picture of the global concentration of financial power,” Stefano Battiston and James Glattfelder, physicists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, use the data crunching tools of physics to analyze financial markets of 48 countries and extract the “backbone” of each country’s financial market. These backbones represented the owners of 80 percent of a country’s market capital, yet consisted of remarkably few shareholders.
“You start off with these huge national networks that are really big, quite dense,” Glattfelder said. “From that you’re able to … unveil the important structure in this original big network. You then realize most of the network isn’t at all important.”
By the physicists’ calculations, The Capital Group Companies are the single most influential controlling shareholder in the world, figuring prominently in the control of capital in 32 of 48 countries considered. Ironically, the company was founded in 1931 by Jonathan Bell Lovelace who came away from the stock market crash almost unscathed because “by 1929 he could see no logical relationship between stock market prices and their underlying values” and got his money out. His timely insight was apparently lost on the majority of present-day traders who brought us the latest financial meltdown. Unless, of course, they were really acting on the orders of Mr. Lovelace’s evil spawn, the reigning New World Order.
So, it seems Charles Fort theory that we are “owned” like “pigs, geese, and cattle” wasn’t so crackpot after all. And in his Fortean wisdom, he also guessed the “whyness” behind our indentured fate: “All this has been known, perhaps for ages, to certain ones upon this earth, a cult or order, members of which function like bellwethers to the rest of us, or as superior slaves or overseers, directing us in accordance with instructions received — from Somewhere else — in our mysterious usefulness.”
So much for the ‘hard’ sciences characterizing the ‘real’ world.
All is a mystery!
Here’s a video about elongated skulls that were discovered during an archeological dig in Siberia.
One usually associates these finds in South America and it’s the first discovered in Siberia.
An archeologist working the dig estimates the age to the 4th century A.D., but it could be older.
Sure, I’ll help Chris take this viral.
I love a good Masonic Mystery!
Via The Secret Sun:
In the past 36 hours this blog has been bombarded with thousands of hits, after a Drudge Report-type site linked to part one of the Gus Grissom/Barackobamun piece. There were the usual corny old jokes about “tinfoil hats” and all of the rest of the worn-out snark in the comments sections (along with some stunning displays of poor reading comprehension), but that represents only a tiny percentage of the traffic. Having been on the internet for the better part of the last two decades, I recognize defensive ironic distancing when I see it.
What’s more, I’m noticing that other sites are picking up on the meme. It’s too soon to say how resonant the meme will become, but it did get me looking at Obama’s possible Grissom obsession again (and that’s what I was writing about- not a conspiracy, per se.)
In the first few seconds of doing so, I found this speech to the National Academy of Sciences on April 27, 2009. Although it was a more general (read: “boring”) gabfest on science and technology, Barackobamun spoke about his support for the space colonization program:
My budget includes $150 billion over 10 years to invest in sources of renewable energy as well as energy efficiency. It supports efforts at NASA, recommended as a priority by the National Research Council, to develop new space-based capabilities to help us better understand our changing climate.
And he even snuck in the Magic(k) Number:
America’s young people will rise to the challenge if given the opportunity — if called upon to join a cause larger than themselves. We’ve got evidence. You know, the average age in NASA’s mission control during the Apollo 17 mission was just 26. I know that young people today are just as ready to tackle the grand challenges of this century.
So what’s the big deal about this speech? Nothing, really. Except it took place of 5o years to the day after Gus Grissom was chosen by NASA for the Mercury Project.
Light bulbs of the gods?
However controversial the “light bulb” theory is, electricity is a raw power of the universe, and hence quite similar to the “raw power of magic”. The djed pillar is indeed an expression of power; the snake is indeed a current, of life. And the baboon-like demon holding two knives, which are interpreted as a protective and defensive power, is not so much electricity, but magical protection. When von Däniken wrote that “the monkey with the sharpened knives symbolizes the danger that awaits those who do not understand the device”, he is absolutely correct – for those who tangle with magic and do not understand, are indeed as dead as being hit by an electric discharge.
Mistakes, whether by von Däniken or scientists, are often made when we look at items in isolation. It happens with the Great Pyramid, about which intricate theories have been built, but which are in essence worthless unless one incorporates the equally grand Second Pyramid, standing right next to it, into the theory. In the case of this chamber, note that it is one of five subterranean crypts, that are aligned along a straight hallway. Each of the crypts housed precious temple statues and objects, including two gilt statues of Hathor decorated with precious stones. In short, these were the relic vaults. Though now long vanished, it is known that one of the statues was that of the ba of Hathor, a golden statuette representing a bird with a human head capped with a horned disc.
So, rather than look at this chamber in isolation, let us look at it in context. But first of all a technical detail: the entire temple was constructed of sandstone, but to create these depictions, a block of limestone was inserted into this crypt. The crypt itself would have contained other statues, of Hathor, and would have been used for the New Year celebration and the festival of Harsamtawy, which is the name of the deity that appears out of the lotus flower – the conscious creation. On New Year’s day, the objects inside the crypt were transported to the vault, which sat above the crypt.
Harsamtawy, a son of Hathor, was, according to Wallis-Budge, Horus, who “was believed to have sprung into existence out of a lotus flower which blossomed in the heavenly abyss of Nu at dawn at the beginning of the year.” Hence, this scene depicts the birth of the divine Horus, on New Year. And with this detail, as placed within the proper context, do we begin to realise that was is depicted in this scene, is the hieros gamos, the sacred marriage.
von Daniken introduced me to the anomalous over thirty years ago and to this day I refuse to denigrate him just because it’s fashionable to do so now, since his theories have fallen out of favor.
The popular opinion now is that it isn’t ‘ancient astronauts.’ It’s an ancient world spanning antediluvian civilization who left knowledge and influenced Sumeria and ancient Egypt.
It doesn’t matter to me really, both explanations are anomalous and non-mainstream enough to foster questions and curiousity.
This past Sunday’s Paracast featured Dave and Gene’s reflection of what they accomplish on their show, taking a possible vacation with a guest host taking over for a week or two and a discussion with veteran photographer and UFO researcher Jim Delittosso and his involvement with the Billy Meier photographs. Good stuff.
Speaking of ‘ancient civilizations’, Atlantis in this instance, gets a treatment by Harry Dale Huffman. Namely via software that he wrote that determines Earthly and sky patterns in which Dr. Huffman interprets a ‘Great Design’ and what that means for Mankind:
In discovering and subsequently verifying the Great Design of the “gods”, which had involved a wholesale re-formation of the landmasses on the surface of the Earth between 20,000 and 10,000 years ago, I became familiar with the many details of those landmasses, and when I afterwards came across Kircher’s map of the Atlantic, with Atlantis in the middle of the ocean, I recognized its shape as one familiar to me.
I had, after all, not so long before, picked out the shapes of the continents and other landmasses – one point at a time, thousands of points altogether- to develop my own Earth- and sky-mapping software, with which I studied the Great Design and its message stored for mankind, or for whoever might come to Earth to study mankind, and who might find and read it.
One of the last large landmasses whose detailed ocean outline I plotted, was Greenland, and the similarity between Greenland and Insula Atlantis is substantial (see the accompanying illustration). To properly compare Greenland with Insula Atlantis, I only had to determine the actual size of Atlantis as seen on the Kircher map. This was easily done by comparing “Hispania” on the Kircher map with the Iberian peninsula on the actual globe; it is then a simple matter to scale Insula Atlantis to its appropriate size on the globe. When this is done, the comparison with Greenland is excellent, in both size and detailed shape.
I won’t here go into the many strands of evidence I found which positively established Greenland as the Atlantis of ancient legend. I am satisfied here mainly with showing the close comparison of the two, with just a few added points to be made. First, the Insula Atlantis of Kircher’s map is wider than Greenland. This is because the eastern portion of Atlantis was broken off, and became Iceland – to the southeast of Greenland today – and the islands of the United Kingdom, even further south and east…
Dr. Huffman’s theories are interesting to say the least. This ‘design’ hypothesis instead of plate techtonics forming the present day land masses would probably make geologists say ‘no f’ing way’, but that’s okay.
I have to pick his brain someday about who he thinks the ‘gods’ are.
Today is the second Friday the 13th in a row (last month also) and there is much history behind the date, mainly as in the case of bad luck.
Now my studies into synchronicity is limited and it’s a work in progress at best, but here is the present theory on how the “bad luck” aspect of Friday the 13th came about:
On the night of the October 12, all seneschals (stewards) throughout France would open sealed instructions at the same time. The instructions were that on the morning of Friday the 13th, all Templars in their district should be arrested and charged with heresy.
The shocked regional authorities did as they were told and on Friday the13th of October, all Templars were arrested and thrown into prison. The king’s guile appears to have caught them off guard. Or were they? For this is where more anomalies appear.
Part of the king’s plan was to seize the Templars treasure from the Paris preceptory, but oddly enough there was none when he got there. Also odd, the Templar fleet melted into history, with no treasure falling into the hands of the king.
There are unsubstantiated stories that some of the Fleet left La Rochelle in France the night before the arrests, joining the ships that had been anchored in the Seine and disappearing with the treasures from Paris to Scotland and parts unknown.
When the total number of knights arrested, was calculated, only a relative handful had been captured. So where had everything and everyone gone? This is a mystery that still holds until this day, although the Templars did make a crucial appearance in the Battle of Bannockburn turning the tide, it is still a mystery that is being solved in parts. (link)
The Templars were one of the most powerful institutions of the High Middle Ages. They had their own army, navy and banking system. Some say their banking system is the model that Nathan Mayer von Rothschild used to build his empire.
No wonder the French king Philip Le Belle was jealous and wanted their money!
But the Templars are noted for another, perhaps more famous tale; The Holy Grail legend:
…there appears to be a swelling tide of interest relating to the question as to whether the medieval Knights Templar in fact possessed the Holy Grail. The answer to this is a very simple one: There is no doubt whatsoever that the Templars possessed the Holy Grail.
The explanation behind this answer, unfortunately, remains somewhat complicated and, to a degree, very speculative. The key, as I have learned during the writing of The Labyrinth Of The Grail, is to constantly “look beyond” what appears at first to be the true answer. The simple reasoning is that why else would both the Church and State pursue the Templars to the far ends of the earth and torture them beyond compassion. Obviously, the accusations of blasmephy were only an excuse to justify their actions. It really doesn’t take any skill to recognize that the inner circle of the Templars possessed something far more valuable than mere silver and gold – something that threatened the very being of the Church and State.
What the Templars possessed, and became sworn guardians of, was the unbroken line of “ancient knowledge” which among other things allowed the ancient mariner to circumnavigate the world. It is now coming to light that trade among the “Old World” and the “New World” had regularly occurred throughout the Neolithic to Roman eras by “societies who were in on the secret.” Hints of these visits and settlement now appear to be revealing themselves through a variety of sources including classic mythology, Indian legend and maritime folklore, as well as through recent archaeological discoveries.
This knowledge was pure power. Societies that not only possessed the ability to track the sun, moon and the stars, but possessed the inherent wisdom to maintain the “secret” of being able to fix longitudinal positions long before it became common practice, were societies in constant danger of being exterminated. On the other hand, those societies who were able to exploit their advantage to the fullest such as the earliest Templars enjoyed a status rivaled by none.
In other words, the Templars, and those who came before them, were accorded the ability to “look beyond” standard Church dogma to places yet to be “discovered” – the mythical Otherworld. (link)
I don’t know what this mythical “Otherworld” is, but one has to wonder if it has to do with a “DaVinci Code” type mystery the Templars are surmised to be connected with? Or is it the Freemason connection?
Either way, the Templars have left an indelible mark on history, mainstream, esoteric or otherwise.
And not just Friday the 13th!
